Are the ribs inside of red and green peppers edible?!

Question: Are the ribs inside of red and green peppers edible!?
I made stuffed peppers tonight and have a pile of the "ribs" and flesh scooped from the insides of the peppers!. Are these okay to eat!? I was thinking of freezing them and maybe putting them in soup later on!. I don't like throwing food away if I can avoid it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yes but it isn't the same flavor or texture!. I usually throw that out, it just isn't the best flavor and when taking all that time to make a soup you don't want to ruin the flavor by adding ingredients that won't enhance the flavor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The ribs are edible, but they can be bitter sometimes!.
When I cook poblanos I eat the entire pepper except for the seeds, because that's where the heat is!.
If it's a bell pepper, it has a milder flavor!.
It all depends on what kind of pepper!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, but the taste/texture is different from the flesh!. The white stuff (pith) tends to be bitter!. Their best use is for compost (then your not actually tossing away food, but recycling it)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Edible!? Yes!. Yummy!? No!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, a little mushy, but yes!. Just don't eat the seeds!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
