Home made pizza...help? :)?!

Question: Home made pizza!.!.!.help!? :)!?
I am going to make a stuffed crust pizza!. I already have the dough and the recipe and whatnot; but, once the pizza is done baking, I wanted to brush the crust with melted butter!.

Would this be tasty!? The recipe doesn't call for it, but I think I heard it somewhere and it just sounds delicious to me!.

Suggestions!? Would it taste funky!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just a brushing would be fine!. I would do it just before it was finished cooking though, instead of brushing it after it was already completely done and out of the oven!. also, you may want to try a garlic butter, to enhance the flavor!. I do it with all of the pizzas I make at home and it's really good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree with the people above - olive oil would be better (and healthier) than butter!.!.!. esp!. extra virgin olive oil!. And do it before it cooks, so it can cook INTO the crust!. But I would just dab it lightly, not brush it!. That would ensure you don't so much on it that it drips!. If it's dripping, that's probably too much!. Just light dabs of oil around the crust will probably still keep it pretty crispy, but give it that great buttery/oily flavor you're going for!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Why don't you try in on a quarter of the pizza, as an experiment, I mean it's not gonna taste bad I'm sure!. That way you will know next time!.!.!. !? That's what cooking is all about, trying new things!. Let us know if it was better with the butter K!?!?
It would make the crust soft & soggy!. Not firm like crust should be!. I'm sure I would like it though cause I love butter!!!!! But I wouldn't, Besides you don't need extra butter that wonderful cheese stuffed crust will be more than enough flavor!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It should be OK -- you can brush it before baking for a rich, buttery crust!.

Olive oil would probably be more traditional, though!. Depends on the fat you used in the dough, I guess!.

Sounds delicious! I want pizza, too!

(But we're having seafood soup, which is good, too!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

The Pizza Restaurants where I eat at usually drizzle some Extra Virgin Olive Oil over the Pizza right after it comes out out of the oven!. What you'll have to do, of course, is experiment both ways to see what kind of results you get, then you'll know for sure what you don't want and what actually pleases you most!.

I've done it before!. The crust will be just fine if you just brush it on!. It tastes delicious!. You can even flavor the crust by adding a bit of garlic powder, onion powder or Italian seasoning!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always buy a pizza, throw away the box, and tell everyone I made it , they love it, and its less of a mess!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it will be good, even better if you do it before you bake it and after Www@FoodAQ@Com
