Question: Do you know of any good manicotti recipes!? !?
I want to make it for dinner and I'm going to the store in a few hours!. I have searched the net and have not found any that I find appetizing!. I'm really looking for one filled with mostly cheese and not a lot of meat!. Any recipes will be appreciated!. Thanks!

also, if you know of any vegetable lasagna recipes, I would love to hear them!. I am also planning on making that soon as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

CHICKEN MANICOTTI WITH CHIVE CREAM
SAUCE

12 manicotti shells
1 (8 oz!.) container soft cream cheese with chives and onion
2/3 c!. milk
1/4 c!. grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
2 c!. cooked chicken, diced
1 (10 oz!.) pkg!. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
1 (4 oz!.) jar diced pimiento, drained
1/4 tsp!. ground black pepper
Paprika

Cook manicotti shells in 3 quarts boiling water for 18 minutes or until tender but slightly firm!. Drain!. Rinse with cold water then drain well!. Meanwhile, for sauce, in a small heavy saucepan stir cream cheese over medium low heat until melted!. Slowly add milk, stirring until smooth!. Stir in Romano or Parmesan cheese!. For filling, in mixing bowl stir together 3/4 cup sauce, chicken, broccoli, pimiento and black pepper!. Using a small spoon, carefully stuff each manicotti shell with 1/3 cup of filling!. Arrange shells in 9 x 13 inch baking dish!. Pour remaining sauce over shells!. Sprinkle with paprika!. Cover with foil!. Bake in 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes or until heated!.

CREAMY CHICKEN MANICOTTI

8 manicotti shells
1 (10 3/4 oz!.) can creamy chicken mushrooms soup, undiluted
1/2 c!. sour cream
2 c!. chopped cooked chicken
1/4 c!. chopped onion
1 (4 oz!.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
2 tbsp!. butter
1/4 c!. warm water
1/2 tsp!. chicken flavored bouillon granules
1 c!. shredded Cheddar cheese

Cook manicotti shells according to package, drain, set aside!. Combine soup and sour cream!. Combine half of soup mixture and chicken!. Reserve remaining soup mixture, set aside!. Stuff manicotti shells with chicken mixture!. Place in greased 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish!. Saute onion and mushrooms in butter in skillet until tender!.

Combine water and bouillon, stirring until dissolved!. Add to reserve soup mixture!. Stir soup mixture into mushroom mixture!. Spoon over manicotti, bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes!. Sprinkle with cheese!. Bake another 5 minutes!. Serves 4-6!.

FLORENTINE MANICOTTI

1/2 c!. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp!. butter
2 (10 oz!.) pkgs!. frozen chopped spinach, cooked and well drained
1 lb!. cottage cheese
4 oz!. shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/2 c!. grated Parmesan cheese
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tbsp!. lemon juice
1 tsp!. salt
1/4 tsp!. pepper
12 lg!. manicotti, cooked and drained
1 (16 oz!.) jar spaghetti sauce

Saute onion and garlic in butter until tender!. Combine with spinach, cheeses, eggs, lemon juice, salt and pepper; mix well!. Fill noodles with spinach mixture!.

Place in 13x9 baking dish!. Cover; bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes!. Heat sauce!. Pour over baked manicotti!. Sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired!. Serves 6!.

HERBED CHEESE MANICOTTI

6 manicotti noodles
1 egg
1 c!. shredded Monterey Jack Cheese (4 oz!.), divided
3/4 c!. Ricotta cheese
1/2 c!. loose-pack frozen whole-kernel corn
1 (2 oz!.) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
2 tbsp!. chopped green bell pepper
1 tbsp!. snipped fresh chives
1 1/2 c!. salsa
1/2 tsp!. garlic powder
1/4 tsp!. dried Italian seasoning, crushed

Cook manicotti according to package directions!. Drain!. Rinse with cold water!. Drain again thoroughly!. Set aside!.

In a medium mixing bowl beat egg!. Stir in 1/2 cup Jack cheese, all Ricotta cheese, corn, mushrooms, green pepper and chives!. Spoon about 1/4 cup cheese mixture into each manicotti shell!. Place two manicotti in each of three greased shallow individual au gratin or baking dishes; set aside!.

In a small mixing bowl combine salsa, garlic powder and Italian seasoning!. Spoon 1/3 salsa mixture over manicotti in each dish!. Sprinkle with remaining cheese!. Wrap in moisture- and vapor-proof wrap; seal, label and freeze!. Makes 3 single-serving entree

GREEK STYLE MANICOTTI

6 manicotti shells
12 oz!. beef top round steak, cut in 1/4" cubes
1/2 c!. chopped onion
2 tbsp!. cooking oil
1 c!. Italian cooking sauce or meatless spaghetti sauce
1/2 tsp!. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp!. salt
1/8 tsp!. pepper
1 tbsp!. butter
2 tbsp!. all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp!. salt
1 1/2 c!. milk
1 beaten egg
1/4 c!. grated Parmesan cheese

Cook the manicotti in boiling salted water 15 to 20 minutes; drain!. In skillet cook meat and onion in hot oil until meat is brown and onion is tender!. Drain off fat and juices!. Stir in cooking sauce, cinnamon, the 1/4 teaspoon salt, the nutmeg and pepper; set aside!.

In saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour and the remaining salt!. Add milk all at once; cook and stir until thickened and bubbly!. Cook and stir 1 minute more!. Stir half of the hot sauce into beaten egg; return all to saucepan!. Stir in 2 tablespoons of the cheese!.

To assemble, use a teaspoon to spoon meat mixture into shells!. Place shells in single layer in a greased 10"x6"x2" baking dish!. Pour sauce over manicotti!. Sprinkle with remaining cheese!. Bake, uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until heated Www@FoodAQ@Com

Manicotti!.
Par cook some wide noodle about the size of manicotti!. Cut noodles into strips so you can roll up manicotti!.

Prepare a combination of Ricotto, Mozzarella, Parmesan & Romano cheese and add in some parsley!. Stuff the noddles!.

Layer some tomato sauce into a casserole and lay the rollups into it!. Top with a little more sauce, cover and bake about ? hour!.

In the meantime, cook some broccli spears and make an aple crisp!.

Serve 2 manicotti rollups, ? cup sauce, and ? cup broccoli per serving!. Dessert is ? cup apple crisp!.

Vegetable Lazagna with Zuchini
4 cups pasta sauce
Lazagna noodles
1 1/2 pound fresh zuchini - cut into slices about 1/4 inch thick
16 oz!. ricotta cheese
1 egg
1 package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
parmesean cheese

spread 1 cup of sauce into a 9x 13 pan
layer 1 layer of lazagna noodle
mix together the ricotta cheese, egg, and well squeezed out spinach

Layer 1/2 or the cheese mixture over the lazagna noodle strips, Top by layering 1/2 of the sliced zuchini!.

layer on another layer of lazagna noodle, top with 1 cup of pasta sauce and repeat the cheese and zuchini layers!.

Top with another layer of lazagna noodle and top with the rest of the pasta sauce!.

Cover and bake at 375 degree for about 1 hour!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The one I make is filled with all cheese and I make meatballs on the side!.

Boil Manicotti noddles till almost done
4 cups mozzarella cheese
2 cups Parmesan cheese
3 Tablespoons Italian seasoning
3 eggs
mix well, Fill noodles with cheese!. I use zip lock baggie with the corner clipped off, if you have a pastry bag you can use that!. Place in glass bake dish!.

Meat Balls:
3 lbs hamburger
2 cups Italian bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 Tablespoon granulated garlic
Make into Large Balls and bake at 350 for 45 minutes
SAUCE:
2 large cans tomato sauce
1 Tablespoon granulated garlic
2 Tablespoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon crushed red peppers
Simmer for 30 to 45 minutes on very low heat!. Stir often!.
cover noodles with sauce then sprinkle with more Parmesan cheese
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes!.
While noodles are baking remove meat balls from oven place in remaining sauce and simmer on low heat!. Serve with noodles

the recipe on the back of Barilla Manicotti is good - you can doctor that up easily and make if however you would like it - it's ricotta and spinach with a red sauce
