Need recipe for baked beans slow-cooked in oven?!

Question: Need recipe for baked beans slow-cooked in oven!?
Earlier tonight, I put some mixed beans in to soak to make multi-bean soup!. They've swelled up enough to take 2 pots!. So, I'm thinking instead of making soup for thousands, I should make two things instead!. One is Multi-Bean soup with ham (5 hours in a slow oven)!. What can I make with the rest!? Some sort of baked beans, I think!. Must be in the oven, at 275 for some long amount of time!. I am using porcelain-covered iron dutch ovens!. (Le Creuset)

Kinds: Pinto, Cannellini, Red kidney, Garbanzo, navy, great northern!.

Recipes and suggestions welcome!.

Put the beans in a roasting pan, add 2 large cans of tomato sauce (or enough to just cover beans)!. Season with salt, pepper and 1/2 cup brown sugar!. Add 1 Tbs!. of vinegar!.

Optional: Lay strips of bacon over the top along with thin strips of green pepper!.

They will cook about the same amount of time as the bean soup!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I 'm thinking of adding a heap of browned mince, onions and garlic and make a huge pot of chilli or curry or something like that with beans!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you are making soup with half of this, then it will come out so similar to baked beans, that you might want to try doing something different than baked beans with the rest!.!. How about taking part of the beans, let them boil in water just enough so they are still firm, but not hard!.!. Rinse them, Drain them, chill them!. Make up a sauce with the following ingredients to make a nice bean salad!.!. Vinegar, Sugar, a little olive oil, a small amount of cool water, some onion bits, and pepper bits, salt and pepper!. Mix it well, and pour over the beans!.!. ( or get a bottle of your favorite salad dressing and use that!.!. vinaigrette, or Italian, or a honey mix, or a southwest flavor can be good!.) Serve as a side dish instead of potatoes, rice, or fries!.!. ( This keeps well too, and gets better as it marinates!.!. Shelf life is about a week, unless you can them with a canner)!.

I usually think of pinto beans for baked beans but you could make it your own style!. When I do baked beans, I add (this is for about a #10 can of beans-so about 3-4 cups maybe)

Add:
1/2-1 pd bacon chopped and cooked-depending on how much you like bacon
1 large onion chopped
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper optional (you could use another green or any other color)

Start the bacon and then add the onion and bell peppers!. Add to the beans!.

Then stir in!.!.!.
approx 2 cups ketchup
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup mustard
salt and pepper!.

Mix and cook in the oven 3-4 hours on low!. Stirring about once every hour or 45 min!.

And this is a mix between chili and baked beans!. It is a little different but I love it with cornbread!

Beef and Bean Crock-pot Soup:

2 pounds hamburger
1 lg onion
1 green bell pepper (optional)
1/2 pound chopped up kinda small

1 can (16 oz) butter beans
1 can (16 oz) kidney beans
1 can (16 oz) Pork and beans (or pinto beans)
1 can (16 oz) tomato sauce!.

-----Just dump in all your beans!.
!.
? cup brown sugar
? cup white sugar
2 tbsp molasses
2 tsp vinegar
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dry mustard

Brown the hamburger and bacon together!. Drain, and add the onion and bell pepper!. Pour into large crock pot and add all remaining ingredients!. Stir to combine and cook on low 3-4 hours!. You could do this in the oven as well!.
