Can someone tell me what are capers? I made a dish?!
the other day for my husband and put them in it!. He loved it but wanted to know what a caper was so I told him they were snail poop!. He believed me!. LOL but really I want to know what it is so I can fess up!.

Capers are the unopened flower buds of a Mediterranean bush, capparis spinosa, which are preserved in various ways - in brine, in vinegar, dry-salted!. If he liked them try making tapenade, a sauce whose name comes from tapenas, the old Provencal word for capers!. I like it with hard boiled eggs, but it's fine just spread on bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
