I feel like baking tonight
I'm not sure what
something sweet
I don't have anything like chocolate chips or coconut

Splendid Impossible Chocolate Pie


2 eggs
1 cup skim milk
? cup margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
1 cup brown sugar, packed
? cup Bisquick? baking mix

Apple Crisp
Shortening to grease pan
4 medium tart cooking apples, such as Granny Smith,
? cup packed brown sugar
? cup all-purpose flour
? cup quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
? cup margarine or butter at room temperature
? teaspoon ground cinnamon
? teaspoon ground nutmeg
Half-and-half or ice cream, if desired
Heat the oven to 375∫!. Grease the bottom and sides of the pan with the
shortening!.

Peel the apples if desired!. Cut the apple into fourths, and remove seeds!.
Cut each fourth into slices!. You will need about 4 cups of apple slices!.
Spread the slices in the greased pan!.

Mix the brown sugar, flour, oats, margarine, cinnamon and nutmeg with a
fork!. The mixture will be crumbly!. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the
apples!.

Bake about 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples
are tender when pierced with a fork!. Serve warm with half-or-half or ice
cream!.

Bread Pudding in a Double Boiler
? cup brown sugar
3 slices white bread slices
1 cup 1% low-fat milk
? teaspoon vanilla
? teaspoon salt
? teaspoon cinnamon
3 eggs
Grease double boiler with butter!. Place brown sugar in double boiler, and
over that put cubed bread!. Beat eggs, milk, salt, vanilla!. Pour over bread
cubes!. Do not stir!. Put over boiling water and cover!. Cook 1 hour!.

Applescotch Bread Pudding
4 cup bread cubes, soft, 1/2-inch cubes
1 quart apples, pared, sliced
? cup melted butter
? cup sugar
? cup brown sugar, packed
? teaspoon cinnamon
? cup cream
Heat oven to 350 degrees F!. Place half of bread cubes in greased 1
1/2-quart baking dish!. Cover with 2 cups apples!. Mix butter, sugars,
cinnamonand cream!. Pour half over apples!. Add another layer of bread cubes
and apples; top with rest of sugar mixture!. Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours!. Serves
8!.

Sugar Jumbles
? cup margarine
? cup shortening
? cup sugar

vanilla!. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl!. Add to

browned!. Cool a few minutes and then place on cooling racks!. Makes 36
cookies!.

Soft Peanut Butter Cookies
? cup softened butter
? cup peanut butter
? cup sugar
? cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
? teaspoon vanilla

Cream together the butter, peanut butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla!. Add
flour, soda and salt and mix until smooth!. Chill dough for 15-45 minutes!.
Roll into balls and place on greased cookie sheet 1 inch apart!. Bake at
350 degrees for 7-9 minutes or until golden brown!. Do not burn!.

If you're a fan of banana muffins, this one requires only basic ingredients, but they taste super yummy!

Banana Muffins II

PREP TIME 10 Min
COOK TIME 25 Min
READY IN 35 Min
Original recipe yield 12 muffins, or 48 mini muffins

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large bananas, mashed
3/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup butter, melted

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!. Coat muffin pans with non-stick spray, or use paper liners!. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside!.
Combine bananas, sugar, egg, and melted butter in a large bowl!. Fold in flour mixture, and mix until smooth!. Scoop into muffin pans!.
Bake in preheated oven!. Bake mini muffins for 10 to 15 minutes, and large muffins for 25 to 30 minutes!. Muffins will spring back when lightly tapped!.

If you do happen to have any cinnamon and/or fruit such as blueberries on hand, they taste really good, which I made myself only a few weeks ago with blueberries and were great!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Brownies

2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter
? cup pecans, chopped
? cup self rising flour
? teaspoon vanilla
? cup cocoa powder, or 2 squares unsweetened chocolate

Preheat oven to 350 degrees!. Grease 8 x 8" baking dish!.

Beat eggs and sugar, melt butter and chocolate, add to egg mixture!. Mix well and add remaining ingredients!. Mix, pour into prepared pan and bake 20 minutes!.

This recipe can be doubled and baked in 13 x 9" pan!.

Cake Mix Cookies

1 box cake mix, any flavor
? cup vegetable oil
2 eggs

Mix all ingredients well!. Add any type of chips or nuts that you prefer!. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet!. Bake 8 - 10 minutes at 375 degrees!.

Some good combinations:

Chocolate cake mix with chocolate chips and chopped nuts
Chocolate cake mix with white chocolate chips and nuts
Chocolate cake mix with peanut butter chips and chopped peanuts
Vanilla cake mix with chocolate chips and chopped nuts
Vanilla cake mix with white chocolate chips and chopped macadamia nuts
Spice cake mix with finely chopped apples
Strawberry cake mix with white chocolate chips (this was an experiment that turned out to be everybody's favorite)

Use your imagination -- the possibilities are endless !.!.!. and they turn out like designer cookies, which they basically are!.

Melt Aways

1 cup , softened
? cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ? cups cake flour, sifted
? teaspoon salt
? cup pecans, chopped
confectioners' sugar

1!. Heat oven to 450℉!. Combine butter, confectioners' sugar and vanilla in mixing bowl!.

2!. Sift flour and salt together and gradually stir into butter mixture!. Stir in chopped pecans!.

3!. Drop by heaping teaspoonsful onto an ungreased cookie sheet!. Bake until peaks are very light brown, about 7 minutes!.

Transfer to cooling rack!. While still warm (but not hot), use a sifter to sprinkle generously with confectioners' sugar!.

Praline Cookies
? cup butter
1 ? cups packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 ? cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans

1!. Heat oven to 350℉!. Cream butter, sugar and egg!. Stir in flour, vanilla and pecans!. Mix well by hand!. Shape into balls about the size of walnuts, place on cookie sheets and flatten to about 1/8 inch!.

2!. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until brown!. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely and harden!.

Shortbread Cookies

4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 lb!. unsalted butter, softened

1!. Heat oven to 325℉!. Beat all ingredients in large bowl of electric mixer on medium-high speed until smooth, about 4 minutes!.

2!. Divide dough into 4 pieces!. Roll out 1 piece of dough at a time on lightly floured surface to ?-inch thickness!. Cut out dough with cookie cutters!.

3!. Bake cookies on ungreased baking sheet until pale brown and slightly firm to the touch, 8 to 10 minutes!. Remove to cooling rack!. Decorate as desired!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
