i actually made ribs for dinner today!. first boil them in water untill they are almost done (salted)!. then drain them (keep the water) and let them cool off, then put them in a baking pan and fill it with bbq sauce and a little of the water from the boiling!. cover with foil n bake them for about 30 min, drain the liquid and pour bbbq sauce over them again!. and bake for 15 more min uncovered!. The key to a delicious, tender rib is either to grill or roasted it at low heat for a long period of time!.!.!.and to sear the meat before cooking to lock in all those juices!.
By boiling or high heat methods you render the fat immediately and the meat will NOT be flavorful!. You'd have to dose it with a heavy BBQ sauce to hide both flavor and texture!.
First, mix up a dry rub!. Add equal amounts of garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, oregano, garlic salt, and then 1/2 amounts of spices like pepper, tumeric, and red pepper!. Rinse and dry the ribs, picking off any loose fat!. Rub on both sides with dry rub!. Heat 2 T each butter & olive oil in a heavy bottom pan, until butter is melted, on high heat!. Add ribs and sear (do not move for at least 1 min)!. Flip and sear!.
Add 1 C prepared BBQ sauce mixed with 1/3 C apple juice and 1/3 C orange liquer (like Grand Marnier)!. Baste meat and put in 250 degree oven!. Baste every 30-45 minutes!. Meat is done when pulls off the bone!.
Works every time!. If you don't want to make a rub, look for a brand called "Stubbs"!. Their sauce is wonderful too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My mother would do stuffed ribs!. There is no recipe!. Depending on how many people you're serving you either use 2 whole racks or cut 1 rack into 2 even lengths!. Rub your favorite seasoning on both racks, front and back!. Put under a broiler and brown, turn over and brown!. When both sides of the racks are browned, take out and put on a baking sheet, inside part up!. Put your favorite filling on one rack and flip the other rack on top!. Bake at 325-350 for around an hour!.
To serve just cut between the ribs and spoon out some stuffing!.
It is very good!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, any true BBQ person will cringe when they see this but I don't have time to smoke ribs all day!. All I do is roast my ribs, covered, in the oven with onion, garlic, salt and pepper and about a cup of water!. Cook them at 350 for about 1 1/2 hours!. Then I finish them off on the BBQ with a smoky BBQ sauce (Bulls Eye original) mixed with honey (1/2 Bulls eye, 1/2 honey)!. That's it!. They comeout just like Tony Romas riblings with Carolina Honey sauce - fall off the bone delicious!! Best of luck!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
