Answers:
I slice it into thin slices, put in a large pot with about 2 inches of water and a little salt!. "Boil" for about 12-15 minutes!. You are essentially steaming it and it will cook quickly and be tender!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't boil my cabbage and everyone that has tasted it likes it!. I spray my skillet with non-stick spray and lay strips of bacon in the skillet!. Fry the bacon until almost done mid hi heat add water to just cover bacon then lay the quartered cabbage on the bacon put the lid on and let the cabbage steam try it for tenderness!.Another way is to spray a pot with non-stick spray and add onions and bell peppers let them soften a little then add chopped up cabbage and let it steam stirring often and add water or butter if necessary!. Both ways are yummy!. Good LuckWww@FoodAQ@Com

Remove any outside leaves that do not look fresh!. Cut your cabbage up into whatever size pieces you would like!. Cook in a heavy lidded pot with either smoked ham hocks, cured ham or smoked turkey!. Be sure to add black pepper!. Taste before adding salt since smoked meats tend to be salty!. Put your meat into your already boiling water about 20 minutes before adding cabbage!.
If using the ham hocks, start them in the boiling water about 30 to 35 minutes before cabbage!. Don't use too much water to start with!. You can always add as needed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Slice it into chunks
put it in a steamer with salt in the bottom(in the water I mean)
add a bit more salt and butter to the top
put the lid on it and steam it at full blast
do not ever lift the lid
do not let it run out of water on the bottom
about 10 min is enough!.
Shut off the stove!.Let it sit a min or two and serve!.
To save time I put the quartered potatoes and baby carrots on the top and add 5 min to the "done" time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hi there,
I just drop the cabbage in a pot with water, then turn on the high heat, cover it and wait for the water to boil!. Once the water boils, take the lid off, then just let the cabbage sit in there for 5 min and the leaves should come apart quite easily!. Look at my cabbage rolls recipe (see link in source box) for some step by step pictures as to how I do it!.

If you cut the cabbage into cubes, add about an inch of water to the pan!. Put lid on and bring to a boil over high heat!. After it's at the boil, reduce heat to low and simmer until tender - about 15 minutes!.

If it's red cabbage, add about 1 Tbs!. of vinegar or lemon juice with the water so it doesn't lose as much color!.

Sweet and Sour cabbage is also excellent!Www@FoodAQ@Com

boil entire head for 15 minutes!. or separated leaves for 5 min!. you can stir fry it raw with a little vinegar and oil too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

COOK IT UNTIL IT IS FORK TENDER BETWEEN 20 TO 30 MINUNTES!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I usually boil 30 minutes! Www@FoodAQ@Com
