Answers:
You can eat the sauerkraut hot or cold, whatever you prefer!. If you put the sausage in a skillet with a couple tablespoons of oil and just enough water to cover them, you can cook them perfect every time!. Put it on hih, let the water boil off, till there's just the oil left!. Turn the heat down just a little and they'll brown in the oil!. A little trick I learned from rachael ray!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

POLISH SAUSAGE AND SAUERKRAUT

2 lbs!. fresh Polish sausage
2 bay leaves
1 slice onion
2 cans beer
1 tbsp!. caraway seed

Boil Polish sausage in beer with the same amount of water until completely tender with the above ingredients!.

Place 1 (#10) can of sauerkraut in kettle with 2 stalks of celery, finely cut, 2 slices of onion, finely cut, 1 carrot, grated, 1 cup water; mix together and spread the Polish sausage with the sauerkraut!. Cook for 1 hour!.

If Polish sausage is to be had without sauerkraut, place on grill and brown until hot!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I put the kraut in a glass baking dish with a lid, put the brats or sausage on top of the kraut!. Cover and bake for 45 min at 350!.

Or, you can do the sausage/brats in a frying pan until browned, cover with the kraut, and simmer covered on low for 20ish minutes!. You can put hash browns in with this, too!.

I cook it in slow cooker!

In a bowl, I combine sauerkraut and with a little sugar!. then place in slow cooker!. Arrange the sausage and onion over the sauerkraut!.
Cook on high for two hours, check for dryness, adding some water if necessary, then reduce to low setting, and cook on low for two more hours!.

Put the saurkraut in a large pot and simmer it on the stove for about 20 minutes!. While its simmering, take a pan (don't add oil-sausages secrete oil so it should be fine) and add the sausages and fry them up, a little bit on each side until they are browned and no longer pink in the middle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
