Question: When grilling asparagus, should it be pre cooked!? Or will grilling it raw be okay!?
Answers:
I would grill it raw, letting it cook but still stay crisp with nice grill marks!.!. once removed from the grill I would use a bbq brush and give it a light brushing of garlic butter or olive oil & a touch of garlic!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Grill them raw!.!.
Toss with some olive oil and sea salt and toss on the grill, by grilling them raw they will hold up and not turn mushy!.
If you do precook them they will turn mushy and lose a lot of the good flavor!.

Cook them about 5 min, just don't have the heat to high!.
Make sure to turn the asparagus too as you don't want to burn them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I grill my asparagus raw and grill it for about 5 to 7 minutes!. its done with just a little wilting!. when you bite into it there is a little snap in the center!. thats how i do it and like itWww@FoodAQ@Com

They would be good raw as long as you oil them a bit!. They'll keep cooking as long as they're hot even after taking them off the grill!. And it doesn't take long to cook them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

wrap them and some butter in aluminum foil and grill!. You can do this with most vegetables!. This will make you happy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It would be better grilled raw!. Cooked asparagus is so limp that it might fall through the grill slats!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

raw is good but try mixing it with some olive oil before grilling it so that it doesn't become too dry and shriveled!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Either way should work but you may want to just blanch them real quick to make sure they cook before they burn!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Raw is the best way!. You can "oil" them down a bit if you wish, but it's not really needed!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

We grill it raw with a bit of olive oil and some seasoned salt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

grill raw brush with olive oil 1st then put on grill!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
