Answers:
Cornbread is made with corn meal, but there are numerous variations--some has kernels of corn added!. Sometimes cheese, meat or chilis!. There are lots of different versions of basic cornbread, some with sweeteners added, some without, sometimes eggs, milk!. The kind you are used to can vary depending on where you've lived!. It's a variant of "normal" cornbread!.

I've eaten cornbread that was more like cake, cornbread with cream corn, cornbread with whole corn, cornbread with jalape?o peppers and finally cornbread made in a cast iron skillet!.

All are variants but are considered cornbread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Nah, they are just trying to be fancy, so they can charge $3 for a piece of cornbread! I often see a can of creamed corn called for in recipes that also call for cheddar cheese and chopped jalapenos and pimientos!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes generally speaking that is how corn bread is made with actual bits of corn in it!. Just like generally speaking the corn muffins have the corn bits in them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i have had it like that before

i have also had mexican cornbread

(very awesome)

and the cornbread there it is just cornmeal and milk baked!. that is what i am used too

Corn bread is made from corn meal!. Which is ground up dried corn!. However I have never seen corn bread with corn kernels!. It seems they are trying to be fancy so they can justify the price!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yeah they are just being fancy!. my cornbread has 5 ingredients, and the cornmeal is the only corn in it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you bought corn pone , not corn bread!. you must be a yankee , lolWww@FoodAQ@Com

uhh, that is definitely NOT normal, or at least all the corn bread i've had has had no corn kernels in it!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
