I've never made leeks before but I love Brussels sprouts!. You can either put a little bit of water in a pan, add the Brussels sprouts, put the lid on top and cook on med-high until all the water is gone!. Or, you can cook them in olive oil (keeping an eye on them, and turning frequently), until tender!.
I would imagine you can do the same with leeks!.
Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Buy some really firm crisp leeks top and tail and wash in salt water to remove any hidden dirt in the folds!. Put them in boiling water for about 2/3 minutes or as the chefs say par boil so they are still very firm but cooked!. Remove from water and drain!. Wrap each leek in a generous slice of really good ham!.Place these leeks in blankets!.!.!.!.!. in a dish and cover with your tastiest cheese, grated that is and top with slices of tomatoes a sprinkle of what you fancy I prefer black pepper and pop in oven until all the cheese has melted and has a lovely golden brown cooked look about it!. Eat the lot yourself or serve with a salad or any veg really or just by itself!.!.!.oh but it is very very nice!. Hope you do that and enjoy! As to the sprouts my husband said put them in the b!.!.!.!.!. bin where they belong! No seriously trim the sprouts cut clean across the bottom and put a Cross about a half inch in the bottom stem again par boil so they are still crisp in the middle which should only take about 5 mins with the cross giving access to the centre but experimenting will decide how long you need boil them and serve with butter and black pepper !.Heaven! Oh by the way the leek dish was called leeks a gratin or something French like that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
