Question: How do I make spagetti sauce without using any canned ingredients!?
No tomato sauce, no tomato paste!. No canned ingredients!.

HOMEMADE FRESH SPAGHETTI SAUCE
1 large spoon of OLIVE OIL
1 large ONION finely chopped!.
3-4 cloves of GARLIC finely chopped!.
500g quality MINCED BEEF (if you want a meat based sauce, otherwise make it vegetarian!)
6-8 large red TOMATOES (preferably skinned by cutting a cross in the bottom and placing in a bowl of boiled water for about five minutes, then drain and peel away as much skin as possible)
A cup of WATER
SALT and PEPPER to taste
Pinch of CHILLI POWDER

Vegetables can be added to your liking, for example mushrooms, peppers etc!.

Put the olive oil into a large pan or skillet!.

Sautee the onion and garlic until just transparent!.

Add the meat if you are making a meat sauce and cook until browned!.

Chop the peeled tomatoes into small pieces and add to the pan along with the water and seasonings of your choice!.

Cook the whole thing gently for about 20 mins (30 if using meat)!.

Serve over your favourite pasta or can be stored in the freezer for about 3 months!.


If you want a smoother sauce, cook the onions!. garlic and tomatoes first then puree in a blender!. Return to the pan and add meat and seasonings and continue cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

take fresh tomatoes and on the bottom of the tomato with a paring knife make an X!. Put the tomatoes in boiling water for a few minutes!. Take them out of the boiling water and drop into a bowl of ice water to cool!. At this point the skin will come off very easily!. Peel the tomatoes and you can either crush them with a masher, your hands, or a food processor!. In a pot saute fresh minced garlic, chopped onion, 1 piece of celery finely chopped, 1 carrot finely chopped!. Once this has softened add your tomatoes and simmer until the flavors blend well!. Take some Super Ripe tomatoes, skin, dice (as big or small as you like) In a stock potSaute garlic (and onions if you want) in some olive Oil until lightly brown, add 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms, saute 7 minutes, add tomatoes and chunks of bell peppers, saute until peppers are tender crisp!. add oregano, basil, tsp of sugar

Use fresh tomatoes and herbs and thicken to suit!.
You could make up a regular white sauce and use anything fresh!. Leeks, mushrooms, chillies etc!.

I like a plain curry, out of a packet, but you could make up your own if you have a good herb and spice rack!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

just take some really good fresh tomatoes and saute in a pan with olive oil, garlic, and your favorite spices - super easy and you only need to cook it as long as it takes to boil your favorite pasta!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
