a gingerbread is a softer and sweeter, while a gingersnap is hard to bite into and after a few cookies the ginger starts to burn!.

Gingerbread is a cookie or cake!. The gingerbread cookie is usually made as a cut out cookie while ginger snaps are not!.

Here's a recipe for Gingerbread!.

Gingerbread
2 ? cups flour, or cake flour
? cup sugar
1 cup molasses, dark
? cup hot water
? cup shortening
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
? teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F!. Grease and flour a 9 x -inch baking pan!.

Measure all ingredients into a mixing bowl!. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed,
scraping bowl constantly, then beat 3 minutes on medium speed, scraping
bowl occasionally!. Pour into pan!. Bake 50 minutes or until a toothpick
inserted in center comes out clean!. Serve warm with whipped cream or
applesauce!. Serves 9!.
