Is it alright to use part butter and part oil for baking (especially cupcakes)?!

Question: Is it alright to use part butter and part oil for baking (especially cupcakes)!?
I have been always making quick breads (i!.e!. cupcakes) with butter!. I know that vegetable oil is good too, and makes the cake more moist!. However, butter has a really special scent and i thought that maybe I could mix melted butter and vegetable oil together!. I know that melted butter can make it moist too, but I don't want too much fat in it since they are for little kids!.

So is it alright to mix part butter and part vegetable oil!? If it is, please tell me the ratio!. Thank you!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It should be fine to combine them!. You might try Buttery Crisco when you make cookies though; it makes nice soft, fluffy cookies with the buttery taste!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A healthier alternative to oil is applesauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I wouldn't, they don't mix well!. If you want the buttery taste but not the fat, try Crisco butter flavoured shortening!. It makes for great results!Www@FoodAQ@Com
