We don't have a bread machine and we make this bread and it's pretty easy!.We do use a bosh to do the mixing but you can always use a bowl and mix it yourself!.This recipe is for a small batch!.
5 c!.whole wheat flour
1 rounded T!. dry yeast
2 c!. warm water (120-130degrees)
3 T!. vegetable oil
3 T!. honey or sugar
2 scant teaspoons salt
Place 3 cups flour in bowl add water mix for 1 min!. For lighter bread let sit for 10 min!. After 10 min!. add oil, honey or sugar, and salt!. Add remaining flour 1 cup at a time, until dough forms a ball and cleans the side of bowl!. Amount of flour may vary!. Knead 7-10 min!. If kneading by hand 12-15 min!. or till dough is smooth!. Let sit and rise till almost double approximately 20-30 min!. Put in oven on 350 degrees for 30-35 min!. or till doneWww@FoodAQ@Com

the words "easy" and "homemade bread" are oxymoron's!.unless you are using some kind of quick bread mix, or frozen dough, there is no such thing!.even using rapid yeast, the process is time consuming!. making bread by hand is a long, difficult, exact science and is often frustrating!. so many things can and usually do with manual methods!.save yourself and invest in that bread machine! There are some bread recipes that use baking soda and baking powder instead of yeast!. Those are typically easier to make!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
