Question: How can i make these holiday cookies, and how much in advanced can i make my pies and cookies!?
I love making foods for the holidays, and i usually make my apple pies and hand them out to people i know!.!.!.!. but this year i would like to make my pies and cookies in advance!.!.!.!. how long can i leave my pies in the freezer after i make them if i want to put them togetehr in advanced!.!.!.!. this way all i have to do is bake them!.

also how can i make these cookies: can i make them i advanced to!?

The cookies you showed are just sugar cookies!. Ice them with cookies icing in your choice of colors!. You can get great sugar cookies recipes from the food network!. Alton brown in a whiz at food storage and time lines!. Check him out!. Everything you mentioned can be made ahead of time in parts, but not assembled!. You can make the pies and cookies about two days early [even from frozen ingredients] and they will still taste fresh!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can make and freeze cookie dough ahead of time!. Now would be just fine!. If making drop cookies, you can drop the cookies onto baking sheets and freeze them!. Later remove the cookies from the baking sheets and freeze them in a freezer bag!.

Pies can be made and frozen ahead too!. Check the Ball Blue Book or USDA freezer books for guidance!.

You can bake and freeze the cookies in layers in a sturdy freezer container to prevent breakage!. Frost and decorate before using!.

I am sure you can safely bake and freeze the pies now, as they should last up to two months in the freezer, but check to be sure!.

I do make and freeze apple pie filling and store it in the freezer!. I later make the pies using the defrosted filling!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can make cookies months ahead, and if you have freezer you can bake your apple pies, pack them individually and keep for months, what you have to do is keep your cookies in air tight container, and defrost your pie before give away!. Good luckWww@FoodAQ@Com
