First you need to make a rue in a sauce pan!.
1!. Melt a significant amount of butter, or heat some olive oil in pan!.
2!. Add flour a little bit at a time and cook until you have a paste like consistency, then add your pan drippings, then add a little water or cooking wine until you get the desired consistency!.
3!. Season to taste!.
If your sauce becomes to thin then you can thicken it by adding a little cornstarch to boiling water and add this to the sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Everyone does it a little differently!.!.!.as you noticed from this lol!.
We have always added beef broth to the pan once the roast has been removed and keep it heated over medium to medium-low heat!. In a separate container, whisk together flour and cold water (not too thick) and slowly whisk in about 1/8 - 1/4c!. each time, mixing well and allowing to bubble as it helps thicken!. Thicken to preference and season to taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

deglaze the pan by pouring a cup of wine, stock, or water in a hot pan!. stir to loosen bits from bottom of pan!. in a skillet heat 2 Tablespoons of butter, sprinkle in 2 Tablespoons of flour, cook and stir until flour is lite brown!. pour pan dripping into flour mixture and stir and cook until thickened!. enjoy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Crape the pan or deglaze using any red wine!. Then put drippings into a sauce pan and cook on low heat!. You can strain and continue!. You can either thicken with a roux or corn starch or if you prefer you can even add a bit of instant potatoes to thicken!. I would season with salt and white pepper a pinch of rosemary or marjoram!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Melt butter in a large skillet then add few tbsp of flour!. stir (this will be thick) then slowly whisk in the drippings!. If not thick enough put a small amt of flour in small bowl and whisk in some of the gravy then stir it all back into the skillet!. Hope this isn't confusing!.!.!.i don't usually measure!.
