I need a recipe for Buckwheat cakes please?!

BUCKWHEAT CAKES
1 qt!. scalded milk, cooled
2 tsp!. salt
1 cake yeast
Enough buckwheat flour to make a thin batter (about 5 c!.)
Mix together and let stand overnight in a warm place!.
In morning, add 3/4 teaspoon soda in 1 cup warm buttermilk!. Add 1-2 tablespoons melted butter!. Bake as usual!.

OLD FASHIONED BUCKWHEAT CAKES

1/2 c!. flour
1/4 tsp!. salt
1 lg!. tbsp!. molasses
2 c!. buckwheat flour
1 egg, well beaten
2 tbsp!. shortening
1/2 tsp!. soda, dissolved in milk
At night, dissolve yeast cake in a little lukewarm water!. Add to the buckwheat, flour and salt!. Mix quite stiff with warm water!. Let rise until morning!. Add egg, melted shortening and molasses, then soda!. To this, add enough milk to make a rather stiff batter!. Cook on hot griddle!. Serves 3 or 4 people!.

You already have some wonderful recipes so I just wanted to add one more thing to put in your Buckwheat cakes!. When my mother made these for us, she always added some whole kernel corn to the batter!. Made absolutely wonderful Buckwheat cakes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
