What is a good side dish for lasagna?!

Question: What is a good side dish for lasagna!?
I am going to be making lasagna for my son's birthday dinner!. My plan is to have a lettuce salad, garlic bread, coleslaw, and 2 different kinds of Jell-O!. Any good ideas for one more thing!? I was thinking a fruit salad, but would like some other suggestions too!. Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

A fruit salad sounds like a good side with the Jell-O, but if you want to kick it up a bit you can try adding a tub of Cool Whip to your fruit salad and marshmallows!. If you want something a little healthier try cutting up whatever fruit you like add plain, vanilla, or other flavor yogurt, and chopped nuts I like walnuts!. This is healthier and yummy also it will complement your Jell-O well!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Lasagna is starchy and rich, so a green vegetable or salad would be the perfect side dish!. Fruit salad might be a little too sweet with the coleslaw!. PIck veggies that have a crunchy texture like broccoli or green beans!. This will be a nice complement to the soft texture of lasagne!. You can dress up the veggies with an herb butter or toasted slivered almonds!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Nothing beats a nice homemade caesar salad and fresh crusty rolls with real butter!. I would follow this by a light desert like a white chocolate mousse!. if the lasagna is meat then go with red wine!. A seafood lasagna screams for rose, if it is a vegetable or chicken lasagna, I would opt for a crisp white wine!. bon apetit!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Maybe twice baked potatoes!? Personally, whenever I fix lasagna, salad and bread is all we have with it and I don't think it ever feels like something is missing, we always still get stuffed!. Oh, sometimes I make mixed vegies with it, that is usually really good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

hmmmm my mum always makes this incredibly easy dish that doesnt sound like much but it tastes great and everyone loves it, its the first dish to get emptied!.!.!.!.

boil some baby peas till just cooked!.!.!.!.
let cool down, layer in a rectangle dish, top with creamy egg mayonnaisse, boiled egg quarters and pine nuts!.!.!.!.!.

makes me want to go and make some now!.!.!.!.
let me know what you thinkWww@FoodAQ@Com

I wouldn't do the slaw with the lasagna!. It would be to much!. Green beans boiled chopped onion added just the last few minutes and drained, then ,mixed with just a small bit of cooked chopped bacon and butter!.

A green veggie of any type you be good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think the salad and bread is enough!. Iam not sure that the other stuff complments the meal!. how about just putting some black olives on the table!?The fruit salad would be okWww@FoodAQ@Com

From my experience with kids, a three year old pretty much loves his mom's homemade choc!. chip cookies!.

Nacho's are also good, but less classy!.

Good luck!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
