What to do with my pinto beans?!
I made a huge pot of pinto beans, we have been eating them with cornbread and chili for days now but we are sick of that!. What could I make using the rest of the beans!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Put them in freezer safe bags/containers and freeze them until you aren't sick of them anymore!.
Mash them and make them into Refried Beans!.
Then, put them on tortillas with some rice, diced tomato, cilantro, hot sauce, and avocado!.
If they aren't seasoned with chili seasoning, then make a Pork and Beans dish by chopping up and frying some bacon!. Add the bacon and the fat to the beans and make a sauce from:
1 cup ketchup
1 cup brown sugar
2 T chopped garlic
Dash hot sauce
1/4 cup your fave BBQ sauce
Let simmer on stove or in crock pot!.

You can freeze them in a zipper bag with enough juice to cover the beans and use them later!. Or you can make your own refried beans!. Put them in a skillet and mash with a potato masher!. Add just enough of the liquid to make them smooth!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Sounds good but I nderstand it can get old!. Make refired beans out of them, baked beans, pork and beans (or beanie wienies with hot dogs), or just freeze them up and use them at a later time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
