Answers:
Making wedding cakes, especially with fondant, is not for the faint of heart!. You might want to sign up for a Wilton or other cake decorating class!.

You can make a simple wedding cake using fresh flowers for decoration!. My first wedding cake was made that way!. I baked a carrot cake (bride's request), iced it with cream cheese icing (bride's request) and used fresh flowers to decorate the cake!. I used a simple shell border for decoration!.

I have since made cakes using fondant and gum paste but I would not recommend this for a newbie wedding cake unless you take some classes first!.

BTW: If you use fresh flowers make sure they are safe to use for cake decoration!. Discuss this with a florist!. Some flowers are poisonous!. Then there is the concern of pesticides!. Again, check with the florist for guidance!.

Check out the Wilton or Sweet Celebrations web sites for more info!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
