Here's a recipe you can make in your crockpot!.

Crockpot Apple Butter

4 quarts peeled, sliced apples

4 cups sugar

pinch of salt

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

Cinnamon to taste (I like a lot)

Combine all ingredients in a crockpot and let cook overnight on high setting!. ( I cooked mine on low and let it go a couple of hours next morning and it did good!.) Recipe says to mash with a potato masher if you wish!. Turn crockpot to high and put in sterilized jars when it is bubbling; they will seal!.
