What's the best side dish/vegetable to go with this (below) menu?!
Hot and crusty bread with vinegar/evoo dipping bowls and roasted garlic spread
chicken picatta (chicken in a caper sauce)
So should I use steamed broccoli or a simple tossed salad to go with the chicken and bread!. I really don't want to do both b/c we're having a dessert and beer and wine and I just want to pick one of the two!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like the broccoli idea!. Makes a nice color contrast on the plate with the chicken!. It saves having an extra bowl for the salad, or the possibility of having the salad dressing run into your chicken!. also, you have vinegar with the bread, and the capers are have a sort of vinegar taste, so you don't need to repeat that taste in a salad dressing!. I always serve angel hair pasta with a lemon wine sauce with my chicken picatta!. I would go with chicken, pasta, and a tossed salad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I think the broccoli would compliment the Chicken Picatta better than just a salad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
