I found a recipe I really like, but there's one problem...?!

Question: I found a recipe I really like, but there's one problem!.!.!.!?
It says to use a dutch oven to cook it!. I don't really know much about 'em, so can I just use a slow cooker instead!? Or no!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It would have to be adapted to cook in a slow cooker since the temperature is lower than cooking in the oven!. If you have any large stock pot with a lid that should yield results that would be just as good as using an authentic cast iron dutch oven!. I don't have one either, and I make things in my large pot that turn out great!!
Hope that helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would use an extra large pot/roasting pan before a slow cooker!. A slow cooker is just that, slow!. It cooks differently!. The meat tends to "shred" more in a slow cooker!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
