Can you use all purpose flour instead of self rising for homemade biscuits?!


Question: Can you use all purpose flour instead of self rising for homemade biscuits!?
I cook great homemade biscuits but always have self rising flour!. I only have all purpose right now!. Whats the diff really!?

The difference is that self-rising flour already contains baking powder and salt!. You'll have to add your own if you use all-purpose!.

For each cup of all purpose flour add 1 1/2 tsp!. of baking powder, and 1/2 tsp!. salt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes you can, you will just need to add baking powder along w/ the a/p flour!. 1-1? tsp of BP per cup of flour ought to be fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
