canola oil and olive oil are not interchangable!. Olive oil has a low heat point, which means it burns easily at high tempertures!. Canola oil is good for frying!. If you are baking something like a cake or cupcakes, don't use olive oil!. if you are baking something savory, you could substitute olive oil, because it adds some flavor to the item!. I use olive oil in savory breads, muffins, biscuits and dinner rolls cause I like the taste and texture!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It really depends on what you are cooking!.

If it's for frying - try vegetable oil!.

If it's for sauteeing in a skillet - yes you can!.
