here is a GOOD ONE and it is DELICIOUS and never fail!.!.!.This is one of my cooking class recipes!.
Icebox Butterhorns
These are so light and so buttery and so easy and fail safe you
won't believe it!.
1 pkg active dry yeast
2 T warm water (110-115 degrees)
2 cups warm milk (110-115 degrees)
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp salt
6 Cups all purpose flour
3/4 butter or margarine, melted
additional melted butter for tops of rolls after baking
In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water!. Add milk, sugar,
egg, salt and 3 cups flour and beat until smooth!. Beat in butter and remaining flour!. Dough will be sticky
and look like a stiff batter!. DO NOT KNEAD!. Place in a very large
greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap!. Refridgerate overnight!. (if making for lunch time make night before!.!.!.if making for supper make in the morning and chill until 2 hours before eating!.
Punch down dough and divide in half!. On a well floured board or
surface, roll each
piece of dough into a 12 inch circle!. It is a wonderful dough to
roll!. Cut each circle in half, cut in half again and cut each piece until you have 12 pie edged pieces!.
Beginning at wide end roll up each wedge!. Place on greased cooking
sheet or on parchment papered cookie sheet 2 inches apart!.!.!.!.point side down so as it raises it won't unroll!.
Cover and let rise in a warm place for one hour!. Bake at 350 for 15
minutes or until golden brown!. Immediately baste with melted butter!.

I have an Easy Rolls Paula Deen recipe (like dinner rolls, a tad sweet)

2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup milk
2 Tbls sugar
4 heaping Tbls mayonnaise
Preheat oven to 350 F!.
Lightly grease with butter or line a 12 cup muffin tin!.
In a large bowl, combine flour & milk, blending with a rubber spatula!. Add the sugar & mayonnaise, and stir until just combined!. Spoon batter into prepared muffin tin!. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

13!. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients!. Cut in 4 tablespoons of the butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs!. Stir in milk just until moistened!. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead gently 8 to 10 times!. Roll into an 11-in!. x 8-in!. rectangle about 1/2 in!. thick!. Melt remaining butter; brush 1 tablespoon over dough!. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over butter!. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with long edge!. Cut into 12 equal slices!. Place with cut side down in a greased 8-in!. square baking pan!. Brush with remaining butter!.
Bake at 450 degrees F for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown!.
Cool for 5 minutes!. Combine glaze ingredients; spread over warm biscuits!. Serve immediately!.

2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
6 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup dried currants
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
2 tablespoons water
1 egg yolk
Confectioners' sugar icing
In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in milk!. Stir in butter, eggs, sugar and salt!. Combine 3 cups flour, raisins, currants, cinnamon and allspice; add to yeast mixture and mix well!. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough!. Turn onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes!. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top!. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour!. Punch dough down; shape into 1-1/2- to 2-in!. balls!. Place 2 in!. apart on greased baking sheets!. Using a sharp knife, cut a cross on top of each roll!. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes!. Beat water and egg yolk; brush over rolls!. Bake at 375 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown!. Cool on wire racks!. Pipe icing over rolls!. Yield: 30 servings!.
