Question: Has anyone a recipe for fideo (mexican pasta) !?

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 (8 ounce) package fideo pasta
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 1/2 cups water

Heat oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat!. Add the fideo, and fry until browned!. Pour in half of the can of tomato sauce, and 1 cup of the water!. Season with cumin, garlic salt and chili powder, and stir to blend!. Bring to a boil, and cook until the liquid has almost evaporated!.
Stir in the remaining tomato sauce and water!. Cover, and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until the fideo is tender, and the sauce has thickened!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Fideo (Mexican Pasta)
6 nests fideo (angel hair pasta)
12 oz jar picante sauce (mild or medium)
1 cup julienned nopalitos (cactus) OR
12 oz jar pickled cactus drained and rinsed OR
(in a pinch) 2 julienned and blanched bell peppers
1 can pinto, poquito, anasazi, pink or other beans of your choice
1 small can (4 oz!?) diced green chilies
Cook the pasta according to package directions!. Blanch cactus, if using fresh!. Drain beans and green chiles!. Toss all ingredients together!. This dish is best at room temperature, although It is good hot or cold also!. I have given just the basic recipe; you can add all kinds of things, like corn, fresh tomatoes, cilantro, scallions, blanched chayote squash, etc!.

1-2 cloves garlic
1 sm!. onion
1/3 c!. oil
8 oz!. fideo noodles
2 tbsp!. tomato sauce
1 c!. water
1 cube broth (bouillon)
1 tsp!. cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
1 c!. chicken or beef or vegetables (optional)

Mix together water and bouillon!. Mince onions and garlic and saute in oil!. Add fideo noodles; brown slightly!. Add bouillon and water; simmer 5-10 minutes!. Add tomato sauce just for color!. Add cumin, salt and pepper!.
At this time add any optional ingredients!. Quick side dish or easy main dish!.
