You'll need to make sure you start with the right kind of potato!. Russets are best for baking and will make a fluffy potato!. And don't wrap the potatoes individually in tin foil!. It does nothing for fluffy potatoes!.

I cook mine directly on the oven rack!. A medium size potato ( ~ 5 oz!. or 150g) will take about 60 minutes at 350 degrees or 45 minutes at 400 degrees!. This will make a crustier skin!. Turn the potato over half way through cooking to make sure you don't burn the underside of the potato!.

When baked to your liking, remove potatoes from the oven!. Slit across the top with a sharp knife!. Gently pinch in each end towards the middle!. This loosens the fluffy white interior from the skin!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The way I make mine, and I am proud to admit they turn out perfect every time, just follow below:

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees!.

Make sure to wash them really well and pat them dry!.

Poke holes with a fork all over the top of your potatoes!.

I don't use foil or oil on them!.

Place in oven with the poked holes on top on the 3rd rack setting!.

Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour!.

The outside of the potatoes will be crusty!.

Take you oven mit and gently squeeze and roll each potato!.

Make a small slice in the middle of the tip of the potato!.

With a mit in each hand go to the end of the potato and gently push the ends towards each other!. This opens the top center enough where is pushes out the fluffy potato!. The inside will be just as fluffy!

Wa La!.!.!.You've got the perfect fluffy potato(es) that will taste delicious once you add your toppings! Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not sure how you're making yours but I use Russet or Yukon Gold, scrub the dirt off, poke with a fork, rub a bit of oil on them, add some sea salt, and right into the oven on the rack directly and bake at 400 until fork tender!. Length of time depends on your oven and how big the tater is!.

Do NOT use foil to wrap up the taters, all that does is steam them!!

And do not use your microwave! That steams them as well!. And you do NOT want steamed taters!Www@FoodAQ@Com

it could be the type of potato your using, a red potato or yukon gold is no good for baking, try a regular brown idaho baking potato, Microwave for 8 minutes or bake for 45 minutes wrapped in foil in 350 degree oven!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Scrub the potato, pat it dry with a paper towel, rub it with butter, wrap it in aluminum foil and bake it in the over at 350 for about 1 hour!. If the potato feels soft when you press down on it then it is done!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Theres a websire below but basically, cover it in rock salt and put a metal skewer through it (this will make it cook quicker) and shove it in the oven Www@FoodAQ@Com

buy zip lock steam bags
poke potato with fork all over
putinto steam bag and steam for 6 minutes
perfect everytimeWww@FoodAQ@Com
