Baking instead of frying a sweet empanada?!
If the recipe calls for the empanada (latin turnover) at 350 F frying, should I bake it at the same temperature!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, you can bake an empananda at 350F!. I make empanadas for a restaurant and they are baked instead of fried!. I suggest brushing them with egg wash (1 egg, 1 egg yolk and a splash of heavy cream) before putting them in the oven!. It adds a nice color and if you're planning on sprinkling it with cinnamon and sugar, it helps it stick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I would take it up a notch, making the oven set at 375F, heating the cookie sheet in the oven!. Take your empanata, as suggested, you could either coat it with an egg wash or coat it lightly with olive oil!. Both will give you the crust and brown color you want!. However, using olive oil will aid in lack of sticking!. Once the oven is preheated, I would take out the cookie sheet, place the empanada on the sheet, and cook as recommended, until the middle is melted, cooked through, yet remaining tender!. I would do that, yes!. make sure you use lots of cooking spray on your baking sheet!.!. they will stick otherwise!.
also, you want to use egg wash on these to get a golden brown color like you do when frying themWww@FoodAQ@Com
