Question: I am a dummy when it comes to cooking Please help me!.!?
I got a recipe for ravioli and it tells me to use pasta sauce!. Is pasta sauce the same as spaghetti sauce or is it different!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Pasta sauce is more "generic" because you can use a marinara sauce (think basic tomato spaghetti sauce) or you can use alfredo sauce (white, creamy) or you can use an olive oil based sauce to dress pasta (there are MANY options)!.

In this recipe, I think that you are looking for marinara sauce (basic tomato / Ragu style sauce)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

spaghetti is a pasta!. there are all different shapes, but they are still 'PASTA marinara sauce is made without meat!. spaghetti sauce is made with meat or meatballs!. pesto sauce does not use tomatoes!. there are all different types of sauces, depending on which part of italy you come from!. some italians use more seasoning then other!. i hope this helps you as i am italian!.so i have tried to explain it as best i can!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think the Marinara sauce would be better for ravioli rather than regular spaghetti sauce!.!. However if you choose a spaghetti sauce the Prego would be the best it is a little zingier!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
