How much do you use garlic for your cooking?!
Answers:
Quite frequently in Italian dishes!. I also love roasted garlic with a bit of olive on just about anything!Www@FoodAQ@Com
We all love garlic so we use it in cooking almost daily!.
Here's a recipe I adapted from the Garlic Lovers Cookbook:
Garlic Mushrooms
24 mushrooms, approximately 1 poun
1 medium finely chopped onion
4 tablespoons butter
6 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon sherry
dash pepper
? cup fresh bread crumbs
8 ounces shredded Mozzarella cheese
Remove stems from mushrooms and finely chop them!. Wipe caps with damp
paper towel; set aside!. Saute onion in 4 tablespoons butter over
medium-high heat until crispy-brown but not burned!. Add garlic, stems, soy
sauce, sherry and pepper!. Cook until mushrooms are soft and have changed
color!. Add fresh bread crumbs; raise heat to high!. Cook, stirring
constantly, until moisture is absorbed!. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons more fresh
bread crumbs, if needed!. Remove from heat and cool slightly!. Add
Mozzarella cheese and mix thoroughly!.
Stuff mushroom caps with cooked mixture and place in a 9 x 13-inch pan!.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes until mushrooms are cooked and cheese
is melted!. Makes 24 appetizers!.
