Question: I need help figuring out what to have for dessert tonight for dinner I am having!.!.!.!.!?
It is cold and snowing where I am!. I am going to have chili that is in the crockpot right now with salad and cornbread on the sid for dinner!. I need something for dessert to go with it and have no clue what to fix!. Any suggiotions except for brownies because I don't like them!.
Thanks for your help in advance!. Oh and I was thinking some kind of warm dessert since it is cold out!. Recipes would be very helpful also!.

Apple Pie
5 cups sliced green apples
? stick butter
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
? teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla
? cup all purpose white flour
pastry for 2 crust pie
In saucepan over low heat, combine first 7 ingredients!. Cook until apples are slightly tender!. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and flour!.

Pour filling into prepared pie crust!. Cover with top crust, seal edges with water and flute!. Cut steam slits in several areas of top crust!. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar!.

Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees, reduce temperature to 325 degrees and continue to bake an additional 30 minutes, or until golden brown!.

Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce
1 loaf French bread
1 quart milk
3 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup raisins
1 cup sugar
1 egg
? cup butter, melted
? cup whiskey
Preheat oven to 350 degrees!. Prepare 9 x 13" pan with non stick spray!.

Break bread into pieces, place into large mixing bowl!. Pour milk over bread, crush with hands until well blended!. Stir in 3 eggs, sugar, vanilla, 3 T!. melted butter and raisins, mixing well!. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 45 - 60 minutes, or until very firm!.

Make sauce: In a medium bowl, cream sugar with 1 egg!. Gradually stir in melted butter, then whiskey!. Should be creamy and smooth!.

Pour sauce over bread pudding, place under broiler until golden, about 3 minutes!. Serve warm!.

1 cup sugar
? cup sorghum molasses
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
? cup shortening
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups all purpose white flour
? teaspoon ginger
? teaspoon allspice

Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds (680 grams) semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, chopped

1 cup (2 sticks) (226 grams) unsalted butter, cut into pieces

6 large eggs

2 cups (400 grams) granulated white sugar

1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups (210 grams) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C) and place the rack in the center of the oven!. Butter (or spray with a nonstick cooking spray) a 9 x 13 inch (23 x 33 cm) pan and then line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper!.

Melt the chocolate and butter in a stainless steel bowl placed over a saucepan of simmering water!. Remove from heat and set aside!.

Meanwhile, in a large bowl whisk (or use a hand mixer) together the eggs and sugar!. Fold in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract!.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt and then fold into the chocolate and sugar mixture until well combined!.

Pour into the prepared pan and bake for about 40 - 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs!. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack!. Serve at room temperature or chilled!. Store leftovers in the refrigerator!. These freeze very well!.

Blackberry Cobbler --


My grandmother made this cobbler when I was a little girl I can still remember the fun we had first picking blackberries together in the hills!. Blackberries are my favorite filling, but this cobbler can also be made with apples




INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter or margarine, divided
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour*
1/3 cup milk, room temperature
2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons sugar



DIRECTIONS
In a 10-in!. round or oval baking dish, melt 1/2 cup butter; set aside!. In a saucepan, heat sugar and water until sugar melts; set aside!. Place flour in a mixing bowl; cut in remaining butter until fine crumbs form!. Add milk, stirring with a fork until dough leaves sides of bowl!. Turn out onto a floured surface; knead three or four times!. Roll out to an 11-in!. x 9-in!. rectangle 1/4 in!. thick!. Spread berries over dough; sprinkle with cinnamon!. Roll up, jelly-roll style!. Cut into 1/4-in!. thick slices!. Carefully lay slices in baking dish over butter!. Pour sugar syrup around slices (syrup will be absorbed)!. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes!. Sprinkle sugar over top and bake 15 minutes more!. Serve warm or cold!. (*If self-rising flour is not available, use 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour plus 1/4 teaspoon salt and 2-1/4 teaspoons baking powder!.) Www@FoodAQ@Com

get a refrigerated pack of biscuits, cut each biscuit into fourths!. Drop into hot oil and deep fry (use fry daddy or oil in pan) and make little fried dough!. APPLE OATMEAL CRISP

INGREDIENTS
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter, melted
3 cups apples - peeled, cored and chopped
1/2 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C!.) Lightly grease an 8 inch square pan!.
In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, oats, flour and butter!. Mix until crumbly!. Place half of crumb mixture in pan!. Spread the apples evenly over crumb mixture!. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and top with remaining crumb mixture!.
