Best way to end this issue is to go buy a instant read thermometer!. They are cheap and easy to use!. I got 2 in a pack at Sam's Club for less than $9!. Ends the guessing game forever!

Poultry should be cooked to an internal temp of 165 degrees F!. And foods do continue to cook after they are removed from the heat source!. For the best results, pull the poultry or meat from the heat source about 10 degrees "early", cover and let rest for about 10 minutes!. This allows all the juices to go back into the meat and you will have a much better result!.

I have a 21 inch weber dome shaped grill!. I place an eight pound bag of match light charcoal to one side of the grill!. On the other side of the grill I place a double layer of heavy duty aliminum foil!. After my coals turn white I place my chicken halves (4) on the foli turning every 30 minutes for two hours!. The leg bones fall out of the socket when done!. After two hours wrap the chicken in foil and pour bbq sauce over the chicken!. place back on the grill for a short steam time!. ENJOY!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Take a meat thermometer and check the thickest chicken piece you have and when the internal temperature is 160F degrees then your chicken is done!. and sometimes the BBQ sauce turns the chicken a slight pink around the edges!. You know your chicken is safe at 160F degrees!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i personally just cut into the thickest part of a piece of chicken and look, if its white then its good!. If it is pink you need more time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your not cooking the chicken long enough look here

Prick it deeply with a skewer, if the juices are clear then it's done!. If they are red then it needs longer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
