Ganache is simple and easy to make!. You only need two ingredients (Cream and Chocolate) and it is very versatile!. You can use it as a glaze when it's warm or ice/ fill a cake when it's cool!. You can also whip it up when it's cool to make a lighter version!. Follow the link for the recipe!.

ganache!. Think of a hostess cupcake's topping but wayyy more decadent!. =)
Ganache Recipe:
8 ounces semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, cut into small pieces
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoons cognac or brandy (optional)
Ganache: Place the chopped chocolate in a medium sized stainless steel bowl!. Set aside!. Heat the cream and butter in a medium sized saucepan over medium heat!. Bring just to a boil!. Immediately pour the boiling cream over the chocolate and allow to stand for 5 minutes!. Stir with a whisk until smooth!. If desired, add the liqueur!.
Pour the ganache onto the center of the cake!. Working quickly, spread with a spatula, using big strokes to push the ganache over the sides of the cake, to create an even coating of ganache!.
Makes enough ganache to cover a 9 inch (23 cm) cake or torte!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Boiled icing!.!.!.no butter and tastes wonderful!. also very pretty!.
1 cup white sugar

1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
Combine sugar, water, corn syrup, and salt in a saucepan; stir until well blended!. Boil slowly without stirring until mixture will spin a long thread when a little is dropped from a spoon (hold the spoon high above saucepan), or reaches 238 - 242 degrees F (114 - 117 degrees C)!.
In a large bowl, beat egg whites with a mixer until they are stiff, but still moist!. Pour hot syrup slowly over egg whites while beating!. You can make a hamburger cake!. I have only had one with a white cake, but I suppose you can make it out of any cake!. Bake the cake and let it cool!. Slice the cake into halves (top and bottom) like a hamburger bun!. Remove the top and set aside!. Add sliced kiwi fruit, frozen strawberries (thawed) and cool whip (thawed) then put the top back on it!. Great dessert!. You can also add some cool whip on top!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
If it's a really rich cake with a good flavor you can just sprinkle confectioners sugar on it!. If you want it to look fancy lay a lace doily on the top, sprinkle the sugar then take off the doily!. You can serve the cake with jam or preserves!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
