I want make shrimp scampi?!
I would love to make shrimp scampi for dinner some night I went to myrecipes!.com but it seems all of them ask you to add lemon juice which I do not have can you sub the lemon juice or do I have to have that on hand I know this sounds crazy or should I hole of on the meal until I have the lemon juiceWww@FoodAQ@Com

IN a pinch myself I have just used a dry white wine!. But you do need lemon juice for scampi!. When you use the lemon roll on the counter a couple of times it helps to release all the juice!. also wrap it in cheese cloth so you won't have to pick out the seeds when you squeeze out the juice!. (if you don't have cheese clothe use a coffee filter!) Good luck and Scampi on!.
Edit: make more scampi sauce than you will need and use some hot crusty bread to soak up the juices!.!.!.!.!.YUMMY!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Lemon juice is absolutly KEY to shrimp scampi!. Thats what gives it its unique, yummy taste!
You should most definatly wait until you have the lemon juice if you want a delicious meal!. For the mean time, you can make some linguine with butter, mushrooms, red pepper and brushutto ham with some parmesean cheese on top!. Thats easy to make and extremely tasty!.

Just buy a lemon and put in the fridge it will keep for weeks!.
