I bet you would enjoy "Pasta salad"
Ingredients: 1 cup of cooked pasta (I like the colorful spiral type but you can use plain if you want)
1/2 cup of diced feta cheese
1'4 cup of sliced black olives
1/3 cup of diced tomatoes
1/3 cup of diced cucumbers
1/2 cup of diced green, red and yellow bell pepper
2 teaspoons of olive oil
few dashes of basil or add real basil pieces cut up
salad dressing!.!.!.!.!.I like 1000 Island
Mix all together in a large salad bowl!. Then add salad dressing as you like!. It is a very colorful salad that is actually a meal and really fills you up!. Enjoy!
I just guessed at the measurements!. You can vary it or even add other things to the salad that you may have on hand!. This salad only takes minutes to make!. Just cook up the pasta in a saucepan in boiling water until done and cool a bit!. Add to the rest of the salad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Recipe for Broccoli Soup: -

Prep time: 7 minutes - Cooking time: 20 minutes

Serves 3

1 head of Broccoli, 14oz/400g is ideal
? an onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 tbsp of olive oil
1? pints(30fl-oz) of vegetable stock
A pinch of cayenne pepper
1 cup(10fl-oz) of semi-skimmed milk at room temperature
3 tbsp of low-fat crème fraiche at room temperature (optional)
Sea salt & freshly ground black pepper
Fresh parsley to garnishWww@FoodAQ@Com

1 pound smoked Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup thousand island salad dressing, or to taste
1 (16 ounce) jar sauerkraut, drained
12 slices dark rye bread
2 tablespoons butter
2 tomatoes, sliced

In a large mixing bowl, stir together the cheese and sauerkraut!. Add enough dressing to coat, and mix thoroughly!.
Butter each slice of bread on one side!. Spread a thick layer of the cheese mixture onto unbuttered side of half of the bread slices!. Top with sliced tomato and another slice of bread!.

Porridge Kedgeree
it's a complete meal in itself!.

porridge - 1 cup
yellow lentil - 1/2 cup
assorted veggies - 1 cup, diced into cubes [beans, carrot, peas, cauliflower, cabbage, tomato, !.!.!.!.!.]
garlic cloves - 2
clove - 3
whole peppercorns - 4-5
cinnamon - small stick
turmeric - a pinch
red chili powder - according to taste
salt to taste
water - about 4 cups

put all these ingredients together in a pressure cooker & cook till one whistle!. or in microwave oven for about 8-10 minutes!. let stand for a few minutes!.

for tempering :
oil - 2 T
onion - 1, finely chopped
fresh coriander leaves
red chili powder - for color
salt - just enough for the onion!.

heat oil!. add onions & saute till golden brown!. add chili powder & salt & coriander leaves!.
pour this over the porridge & serve garnished with a lemon wedge!.
