Is porridge bad for you if you add Honey and Butter?!

Question: Is porridge bad for you if you add Honey and Butter!?
I love my porridge, and i love it even more with a spoon of honey and butter!. I love the creamy taste!. By adding the honey and butter is that just ruining the "goodness of porridge"!. I figure having porridge every morning in lieu of bacon and eggs is the better option!.

Perhaps another addition to my porridge might be helpful,Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It's not bad, just don't add too much!. Go light on the butter, try some cinnamon too!. Cooking raisins with the porridge can sweeten it up without adding extra sugar or honey!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you're fine, as long as you're not adding a pound of butter to your porridge!. Still definitely leaps and bounds ahead of bacon and eggs!. A little fat actually satisfies you better and helps you stay full!. If it really bothers you, you could try switching to a trans-fat free margarine, but I think butter beats the heck out of the chemical who-knows-what they put in those plastic tubs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It would depend on how much butter you're adding to tha porridge!. Try adding minimal amounts!.!.!.it's all saturated fat!. It kinda defeats the purpose of eating porridge (although still a healthier option over bacon and eggs)!.

Honey has some health benefits, so that's not a bad thing to add!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you are OK!. Add some raisins and/or some almonds or pecans or walnuts to boost the fiber and/or protein!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
