How do you let bread dough rise for more than a day without it getting all dried out on the outside?!

Question: How do you let bread dough rise for more than a day without it getting all dried out on the outside!?
My mom and I tried spraying it with cooking oil and that sealed the air from getting to it so it became flat!. Any other ideas!?
I mean I usually just peel off the outer layer and use the rest of the dough but I have to throw so much of it away and I hate being wasteful!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In my family we make a traditional break called "hoska" and we would wet a hand towel with water, ring out most of the water and spread over the top of a large bowl that the bread dough is in!. Hope this helps!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You shouldn't let dough sit that long!. If you have to take a break in the middle of the rising process, toss it in the fridge (cover it) after you knead it!. Then let it rise until doubled in size (or whatever you're supposed to do according to the recipe) and proceed as normal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

cover the bowl with wet towel!. then wrap around it with plastic wrap!.
for 1 day, doesn't dry out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

roll in oil an put a cheese cloth over the top of the bowl Www@FoodAQ@Com
