As far as the health benefits, you'll need to compare the labels as each manufacturer may make their oil differently and there are numerous grades to olive oil (grade A fancy, cold press etc!.)!. As to the practical uses!.!.!.
Olive Oil is great for sauteing veggies or seafood in!. It is not as heavy tasting as vegetable oil!.
Vegetable oil is great for deep frying things that are batter dipped and it also has a higher tolerance for heat!. Meaning that you can get the oil hotter (as you need for deep frying) before it will start burning and smoking!.
also, you should investigate peanut oil (pricier than veggie oil) but has a high tolerance for heat without all of the fats and such!. also not as heavy tasting as the veggie oil!. Great for frying turkeys in!.!. yum yum!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well vegetable oil is made of a combination of other oils,so it kinda depends on what is making up your vegetable oil
olive oil is suppose to be slightly healthier but if you like cooking at higher temps (for things like stir fries) it doesn't hold up!.

no cholesterol and polyunsaturated fatty acids being good for heart and vessels!. I always use sunflower oil (no flavour) but healthier is olive oil!.
