Can one re-use deep frying oil in another recipe?!

Question: Can one re-use deep frying oil in another recipe!?
Are there any recipes that one can use deep fryer oil that hasn't been used too much!?

For example, if one used said oil to fry French Fries, but only three times, could said oil still be used in a potato bread recipe!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It can, but really it all depends on how long it's been sitting!.

For example, if you fry french fries twice within a day or two and then a couple days later you want to do something else in it, such as a potatoe bread recipe, I think it would be fine!. Whereas if you were to fry some french fries and a month later decide to do the potato bread recipe, it wouldn't be such a great idea!.

Me personally, I toss out the oil each time!. My mother, who's on a slight budget will save her oil and reuse it!. She also tells me that it's okay to reuse the oil because any bacteria that may get into it will die when it gets turned on because of the high temperatures!.

Good luck! Www@FoodAQ@Com

I used to strain used cooking oil and re-use it but now I know better!. I use it once only and throw it out!. My health is not as good as it used to be and I can't get away with doing that anymore!.

I wouldn't recommend it as oil actually gets "strong" or stale and can affect the taste of other foods that are cooked in it, especially breads!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would never re- use deep fry oil for anything except deep frying!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could in a bind but I wouldn't do that unless I had to!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes, but i never heard of a bread recipe with oil!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
