How long do i cook a frozen lasagne for?!
sounds stupid, but i have a portion of lasagne that is in on of those foil containers!. How do I heat it up in the oven!? do i have to cover it with anything!? what heat!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Thaw it in the fridge - then remove the foil - nuke it - then test it with a fork to make sure it is done all the way through!.
Lasagna that is cold on the inside and steaming hot on the outside is a turn off!. I just hate it when I bite into cold lasagna!. Getting it uniformly hot is a challenge indeed, but with patience you can achieve it!.
Amount of heating depends on how big the brick is and how solidly frozen!. Bigger slice or a caseroleful takes longer and more patience, of course!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I often save left over homemade lasagne in foil containers for my son to have when he's feeling too lazy to cook!. He puts them in the oven on about 200C for 30 to 40 minutes!. I would leave it covered with the lid or loosely with foil if it have already been previously cooked!. If it is one you have made up and frozen before cooking then uncover it for the last 15 minutes!.
Obviously it depends on the size of the portion on how long it will take to heat up properly, but just check after about 25 minutes and then every 5 minutes or so!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If it was a frozen dinner type thing, there should be instructions!. If it's just a portion of a larger one that you froze, the best way to re heat it is to let it thaw out first!. Then heat in a 350 oven loosely covered!. You didn't say what size portion you have, but check if the center is hot enough after 20 minutes or so!. Don't let it dry out by heating too long!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Cook it from frozen!. If it's a 9x13 pan cook for about 1hour at 400!. Check to see if it's done (warm enough) in the middle!. Leave it covered the entire cook time!.Hope this helps!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I would say around 40 minutes on gas mark 6, but if you're not sure, why not pop down to your local supermarket and see how long their frozen lasagnes take and at what temperature!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
One hour to 30 minutes depending on how frozen it is!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Pop the oven on to about 200, then give it about 50-60mins!.
Just check it's piping hot all the way through!Www@FoodAQ@Com
