I have 10-12 friends over about once a month for a get-together!. The most popular meal I've made is braised chicken thighs and drumsticks!. I buy family packs of chicken thighs and drumsticks when on sale!. You can get A LOT of food cheaply that way!. At one dinner I had 24 pieces of chicken for under $8!.
For preparation, I brown all the chicken on the stovetop in two Dutch ovens!. After draining any grease that has collected, I put twelve pieces in each pot and add a jar of slow cooking sauce!. Williams-Sonoma has a GREAT variety of sauces!. Cover the Dutch ovens and put them in the oven at 325 degrees for 1!.5 hours!. The chicken falls off the bone and is very tasty!.
Great served with rice, and there is usually some sauce in the pot to put over the rice!. also serve with roasted vegetables!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
