Question: Can anyone give me some quick and easy ideas for blueberries!?
Our friend went on a fishing trip to Canada and brought me a bag of blueberries! I've already made pancakes and muffins and put the rest in the freezer!. I don't want them to go to waste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hi,
This one doesn't involve baking, but it's a quick and easy blueberry sauce to use as a condiment!. A fresh blueberry sauce recipe for ice cream, oatmeal, waffles, french toast, pound cake, pancakes, crepes, or bread pudding!.
Ingredients:
2 cups fresh blueberries
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation:
Wash and crush blueberries; add sugar, lemon juice and salt!. Mix well!. In a small saucepan, bring blueberry mixture to a boil; boil 1 minute!. Add vanilla!. Chill!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make a sauce to go on top of pancakes, waffles, or ice cream!.
INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

* 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
* 1/4 cup water
* 1 cup orange juice
* 3/4 cup white sugar
* 1/4 cup cold water
* 3 tablespoons cornstarch
* 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
* 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

1!. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the blueberries, 1/4 cup of water, orange juice, and sugar!. Stir gently, and bring to a boil!.
2!. In a cup or small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and 1/4 cup cold water!. Gently stir the cornstarch mixture into the blueberries so as not to mash the berries!. Simmer gently until thick enough to coat the back of a metal spoon, 3 to 4 minutes!. Remove from heat and stir in the almond extract and cinnamon!. Thin sauce with water if it is too thick for your liking!.

put blueberries in deep container!.pack tightly!.
make clear gelatin!. ( plain gelatin,sugar,water, may be lemon juice,too)
or use boxed gelatin mix!.
pour gelatin mix on blueberries!.


it is such a pretty dessert!.

I have all kinds of frozen berries in zipper bags in my freezer!. I use them in cereal, smoothies or milk shakes, ice cream, yogurt, making sauces for waffles or glazes for food!. also try drying them and adding to homemade trail mix!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

make blueberry jam, that way you can use a bunch of them and put the jars in the freezer, its called freezer jam, it wont go bad:)Www@FoodAQ@Com
