Question: Help! I need a dessert with pears!?!? Quick!!?
I have a couple of pears in the fridge!. I also have some bisquick, brown sugar, cream cheese, and most other baking ingredients!.!.!.(sugar, baking powder, etc)!.

Do you know a recipe that I can make with these things!? It doesn't have to include all of them!.!.!.just a good dessert! Thanks!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make a pear crisp! Toss pears w/ lemon juice, sugar, lemon zest, maybe some cinnamon!.!.!. lay in greased baking dish!. Make a crumb topping w/ brown sugar, oatmeal, bisquick, and butter, sprinkle on top and bake at 350oF until crispy top and bubbly edges!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Serves 4

4 small ripe Bosc pears, peeled, cored and halved
juice of 1 lemon
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1 to 2 tablespoons butter
about 5 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup apple cider or orange juice
1 pint vanilla ice cream
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees!. Arrange the pears in a shallow baking dish!. Sprinkle with lemon juice, spices, bits of butter and the sugar!. Add the cider or orange juice to the bottom of the pan!. Bake about 30 minutes, or until easily pierced with a knife!. Baste the pears every so often with pan juices!. Serve warm or at room temperature, giving everyone two pear halves with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!.

INCREDIBLE POACHED PEARS

2 small firm-ripe Bosc or Bartlett pears (about 6 ounces each)
2 cups cranberry-raspberry juice cocktail
1/2 cup sugar
2 bay leaves
2 whole cloves
1 teaspoon julienne orange zest

Preparation:

Core pears from blossom ends with melon-ball scoop and peel, leaving stems intact!.

In a 2-quart saucepan simmer pears in juice with remaining ingredients, uncovered, turning occasionally, 10 to 15 minutes, or until pears are tender but still hold their shape!. Transfer pears to a plate with a slotted spoon, reserving poaching liquid, and chill in freezer 15 minute!.

While pears are chilling, boil reserved liquid until reduced to about 1 cup!. Pour liquid into a bowl and put bowl in a larger bowl of ice and cold water!. Stir liquid until cooled lightly!.

Serve pears in shallow bowls with some poaching liquid and garnished with bay leaves!. (Do not eat bay leaves!.)

Stuffed Pears
1 large can pear halves, well drained
8 ounces cream cheese
1 package Dream Whip?, prepared
Pecan halves
Red and green maraschino cherries

Mix cheese and Dream Whip!. Beat well!. Fill pear halves!. Top with nuts and cherries!.







Fruit Cobbler (Fruit of your choice)
1 stick butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
3 cups fresh or defrosted fruit

Melt butter in a 9X13 baking dish!. In a bowl, mix sugar, flour and
milk!. Pour this mixture over the butter!. DO NOT STIR> Top with
fruit!. DO NOT STIR!. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or until
golden brown!. Crust will rise to the top!.

A pear and cream cheese crumble tart:
Combine:
1 cup flour, 1/3 cup rolled oats, 1/2 brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon!. baking powder, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon sea salt!.
Add:
1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
Mix with hands to make course bread crumbs!.
Press 2/3 of the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a spring form pan!.
Bake for 15 mins in a 350 degree oven!. Allow to cool!.

Beat the 8 oz!. cream cheese with the 1/2 cup of gradulated white sugar until smooth!.

Beat in 1 egg, 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar and 1 teaspoon vanilla !.
Spread the cheese mixture over the crust!.

Arrange the pears over the cream cheese that have been peeled, cored and sliced into 8 wedges!.

Add the oat mixture and 1/4 cup peacan nuts over the top and bake for another 30 minutes!.
Cool on a rack
