What's your favorite cookie recipe to make for the holiday's?!

Question: What's your favorite cookie recipe to make for the holiday's!?
Answers:
I make quite a wide variety to make the platter really pretty!.
Besides the normal sugar--which I do a roll out with some frosted and some sprinkled color sugar, I do a some chocolate mint, peanut butter cup, candy cane (dye the dough and twist together), thumbprints, biscotti, mexican wedding cookies, a chocolate cookies with crushed peppermint candies, snickerdoodles, but I do lots of candy too such as fudge--in a variety of flavors, covered pretzels both white and chocolate, covered roasted peanuts, peanut butter patties both white and chocolate!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you're having a holiday party, be sure to include diabetic cookies!. My favorite is a recipe for oatmeal raisin cookies!. Found it on the splenda website!. I like to make sure I have some deserts that elderly people on low sugar, low salt diets and diabetics can enjoy!. also, I always make TONS of these cookies because there is always a lot of people who are watching their weight!. I clearly mark these extremely low sugar cookies with a sign!. People RAVE about them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I call them 'everything but the kitchen sink' cookies!. Make the basic Toll House batter, but add any/all of the following:
Chocolate chips
White chocolate chips
Peanut butter chips
Shredded coconut
Fruitcake fruit
Raisins
Dried Cranberries
Peanuts, Cashews, Walnuts

What you want to do is put 'so much stuff' into the cookie dough that you must 'form' each cookie on the pan before baking !.!.!. smash them down, because they won't 'spread' quite as much with so much stuff in them!. Add at least 4 times as much stuff as you would to make 'normal' chocolate chip cookies!. Make the cookies about 6" across, and you'll find that these cookies go faster than any of the smaller cookies because they're actually more healthy (If you use the fruits and nuts) but they 'feel good' too because they're bigger, softer, and taste delicious!. If you want you can add oatmeal, too, for more 'good health disguised as a cookie!'Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always make up a bunch of recipes!.!.!.start with the toll house recipe, and a basic chocolate cookie recipe, and add my add-ins!. What they are is a secret!.!.!.!.:)

My husband's faves include something called chocolate rocks, cherry chocolate chip (made with Maraschino cherries) and "snowballs" (also known as Russian Tea cookies) which his mother used to make!.

And I often make some sugar cookies to ice, too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
