How do you dispose of grease ?!
After browning hamburger, I drain the grease before continuing with the recipe!. I am wondering what you do with that drained grease!. Do you put it down the drain, let it harden in foil and toss that, put it in a metal can, a glass jar, what!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I keep a jar handy that has a lid and us it for when I have grease!. When the jar is full I toss it out!. My father was a plumber an I learned when I was very young not to toss things into drains that could cause problems!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Never ever ever put grease down the drain!. Not only will it ruin your own pipes over time, but it'll also screw up your city's system!. Just drain the grease into a can or some other container and let it harden and throw it in the garbage!. You can even get a large can and keep in in the freezer to dump grease in it repeatedly until it's full!. Then you only have to throw it away every once in a while!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
My brother-in-law told me a good trick for after you brown hamburger!. Line the inside of your garbage bag with clean newspaper, place the cooked hamburger in a collander and then put the collander on top of the newspaper!. The grease will drain onto the newspaper, so it won't melt your bag!. It won't touch your garbage, and you don't have any clean-up at all!!!
Don't put it in the drain, it'll cause problems!. If you don't want to do that, line a bowl with foil, drain hamburger in a collander into the foil lined bowl!. Let the grease harden!. When it's hardened, ball up the foil and toss!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Grease will clog your pipes, so find a container to put it in instead!. At this point, most people throw it away!. Others save it for cooking and baking in the freezer!. One of my colleagues puts bacon grease in her pie shells!. And if you feed the birds like I do, you can make suet cakes!. Just add some bird seed to a square container, add your grease and freeze!. The suet will help them in the cold weather!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
please! do not pour it down the drain! when it hardens your drain will clog and its a nasty mess!. What i do is buy paper bags like the ones for sack lunches!. And wait until the grease hardens and dump it in there and throw it in the trash!. Thats the best way to get rid of it!. But if u happen to get a little in the drain, pour boiling hot water down at least 2 gallons worth so it can totally flushWww@FoodAQ@Com
No!. Do not put it down the drain!. It will clog the plumbing!.
I pour cooled grease into saved vegetable oil or shortening bottles!. The grease must be COOL otherwise you will melt the containers!.
I then take the grease filled sealed container and dump it in the trash!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's better to not put it down the drain!. It can clog up the drain!. I put it on the dog food when I feed the dog, or pour in a can and put in the freezer and throw away in trash on pickup day!.

Personally, I just put a few papertowels in the trash can on top of the rest of the trash and pour it out!. Wait until it's not too hot though or it may burn a hole in the bag!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
