I am trying to cook chicken and I am a first time cooker. How do you know if the chicken is done?!
It cant be because the liquids run clear because the liquids are already clear!. So HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Www@FoodAQ@Com

if the juices are running clear then its done, raw chicken juices aren't clear they are cloudy with a hint of pink or yellow!. Take the temperature of the thickest part of the meat!. Directly center and if it's 165 its done!. If it has a bone be careful not to hit the bone but try to get closest to the bone!. The meat should be white all the way through, when in doubt cut it open but try to avoid this if you can!. Let it sit for 10-15 mintues when its done to allow the juices to redistribute throughout the bird!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
When a thermometer shows an internal temperature of 160F
If it's a whole chicken, grab the leg-bone and wiggle it!. If it's loose and nearly comes off the bird, it's done!.
If it's chicken pieces, the breast meat and thigh meat take longer!. If you cut into it and it's pink, chuck it into the microwave for 30 seconds!.

The juice by the bone runs clear!. There is a slight tinge of pink (by the bone) if it isn't done!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
