Has any one ever make jello with wine? or do you think it would work?!
Answers:
Absolutely, use Knox unflavored gelatin and follow the directions on the side of the box!. The higher the quality of the wine, the better the end result will be!. Zin and Shiraz work well for reds(because of their lower tannins) and riesling and gewurtztraminer work well for whites(sweet or dry)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
No, haven't tried it myself but at the bar I ran we sold jello shots all the time with hard liquor!. You use the correct amt of boiling water and add the alcohol instead of cold water!. I 'm sure wine would work just fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
There is no reason it wouldn't work!. You would have to be choosy about the wine you use!. I guess you could use grape jello and red wine!. Or you could use plain Knox gelatin and just jell up the wine without any sugar or other flavors!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I did(:
What i did was mix the gelatin powder with wine and mixed it!. It turned out fine, just a wee bit watery!. But it was nice-tasting!.
Try it out, urs might not be watery!. Good luck(:Www@FoodAQ@Com
